Almost to Darwin

We are nearly to Darwin – arriving in a few hours. We are in the southern part of Van Diemen Gulf which has had very little wind since sundown – so, we have been motoring. We had excellent sailing, for the most part, all the way from Gove. We flew the spinnaker the majority of the time, and averaged 6-7 knots. Very few other vessels seen enroute. Not a single sailboat, except for the two who we passed and followed us through Hole in the Wall. We did see some dolphin and lots of schools of fish – or at least the flocks of birds surrounding them.

We just picked up 3G service from the Darwin area. There was no 3G service for the previous 24 hours. Here’s a map of our current position.
