In the Leaving Miami pictures, what is that thing floating in the water?

@Christine: That "plastic"-looking thing is actually the top part of a portuguese man of war (a very dangerous kind jelly fish). The part above the water actually serves as a "sail" that the jelly fish uses to guide it around on the surface of the water. It's very cool!

Ummmmmmm why is there an expedition named after me?

If you get to NZ which you must........Whangarei near the top of the North island is the best place for a restock and refit. ight up the top of the harbour we have a marina called Town Basin. It is right in the town. Have a fantastic time, will follow you closely. Give email me if you get to Whangarei if you want...being an ex yachtie I know a little local knowledge goes a long way.
