Here are a few photos from the last week which were missed between the last few posts. Included are a couple more shots at Savusavu, and some photos showing us installing the new sunshades for the aft part of the cockpit. Karen made the shades back in New Zealand, but we needed to install the track under the bimini. We were fortunate to borrow the right-sized special square screw driver from John on s/v Passages.
Also shown are a couple of photos from the anchorage near Cousteau Resort Fiji which is on the end of the point west of Savusavu. We spent last Monday night there before leaving for Fawn Harbour.
Then there are some photos of our visit to Fawn Harbour. A shot of s/v Dignity at anchor. A photo of our two boats at anchor from Arthur and Sandra Pickering’s house up on the hill (they are the owners of the Pickering Settlement and were very welcoming to us). Next are a couple of photos of the very nice hot springs up in the hills nearby. And finally, a photo of Arthur and Sandra as Arthur showed us how they make Kava and then shared some with us.

We are back in Savusavu now for a few days. We’re going to be taking an advanced open water dive course for a couple of days. We had a nice sail yesterday for the 50 nm from Viani Bay. We were making 9-10 knots once we were out of the lee of Taveuni. We crossed paths with s/v Kamaya on the way and got to talk to them briefly on the radio. In Savusavu, we relaxed in the afternoon using the A/C while charging the batteries. We ran into s/v Imagine/Stuart and Sheila in the evening, who were celebrating their anniversary.
