More Photos at Last

We have been having a great time traveling about eastern Vanua Levu in Fiji for the past couple of weeks. But, there is little to no Internet available out here. So, the photos have been pretty sparse. Today, we left Rabi and sailed back down to northern Taveuni at the Naselesele anchorage. They have a resort with Internet here. So, I finally have uploaded a bunch of photos.

Here you will find pictures from Taveuni, Matagi, Namata Bay, Budd Reef (Yanuca), Cobia, and Rabi. There are many more photos to come from these islands, but I only have time now to post a sample. There are some really nice photos here though, so please have a look!

Great pics, Frank, and ni sa bula vanaka!

It’s been 30 years since i lived in Fiji, and these photos brought it all back. Hope to revisit in the next couple of years.

Looking forward a bit, are you planning to visit Sydney? I’d love to meet up for a coffee when you’re in town, and I’d love to see Tahina in “the flesh” after following her progress all this time.

Hi Rob – we are definitely planning to come to Sydney. Whether it will be with Tahina or not is yet to be determined. We understand it can be difficult to get a boat back North the following season if we go that far south… But, I would definitely be glad to arrange a meet-up with you one way or the other!

What? Did that really say fly infestation?!
I had to back up the slide show and look at that caption again. Made me laugh!
Really enjoying the pictures, though I hope no more flies!

Yes, we did have a fly infestation. One of the hazards of living in a warm tropical client is the chance of critters getting on board. This time it was fruit flies who managed to lay eggs inside the trash compartment. We had a surprise when we went to change the trash bag and it took two cleanings to get them all out of there!
