The map below shows Tahina’s current position (sailboat icon), our circumnavigation track (green), and our continuing track (yellow). Zoom in to see more detail. Follow the Google Earth link below the map for a lot more details.
UPDATED: Track shows through June 2015 when the Expedition was completed.

The Google Earth link below not only shows the map, but if you zoom in with Google Earth you will see detailed GPS tracks of our sails, some of our dinghy trips, and even some of our hikes. It also shows placemarks of significant places we visited.
Hi Frank & Karen,
Being a builder of a 12 meter catamaran (Outback Dreamer) located in Victoria Australia I have started to follow your progress. How far south are you traveling?
cheers
Christopher
Hi Christopher – We have no plans at this point to go much further south than Sydney. We have to get back up to Bundaberg by early April in preparation for our travels through the GBR starting in May.
Why did you guys miss Paupa New Guinea? Those are some of the best islands in the world.
Dear Frank and Karen
Can you go to the Philippines
any date range for Maldives arrival?
Just found your blog and will read through the historical entires with great interest. I am also curious as to why you are not stopping in the Philippines, although I understand it may involve wind and seasonal typhoon reasons? Given you have five years for this epic voyage, why not have a stop in these islands, spend some time on shore? You are welcome to come stay with us for a day or few, just let me know. My email should be accessible though if not just reply and I will post. Thanks for the effort you make in maintaining this blog, fair winds!
i am saddened by Tahina’s change of route to bypass the Maldives 🙁
We are also saddened by the missed opportunity to go to the Maldives. We had to make a choice a few months ago, and when I needed to go to Singapore for a medical procedure, that was the deciding factor for going the southern route.
Very Inspiring Frank… we are on a circumnavigation sailing voyage as well in the name of education! great work!
Hi Frank,
Congratulations on the completion of your 6year trip across the globe!
We are also completing a circumnavigation this coming season on S/v Beach House….really impressed with the Google Earth track you have developed for your trip. Can you give us some hints on what column headings you included in Earth point to produce the tracks! Did you use the time slide feature ?
Thanks
Nikki
