Departing for Lady Musgrave

It’s 4:30 AM and we will be leaving Bundaberg by 6AM for a 50 nautical mile trip to Lady Musgrave. Lady Musgrave is an atoll at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef with a lagoon you can enter and anchor in. It is a popular attraction I would like to see, and we have pretty good weather conditions for it. Another reason I want to go there is to have a chance to get in the water and do some snorkeling. The final, more practical reason, is that I need to get in the water and clean Tahina’s hulls again. We have some growth again after sitting in the marina for 6 weeks, and this will slow us down. There are bull sharks in the water near the marina here, and I prefer not to go swimming with them (they are aggressive sharks).
